Privacy Policy
Anyway jot is a plain text notes app for macOS, provided by PRMO Inc. This policy explains, in plain language, how Anyway jot handles your information. The short version: your notes stay on your Mac, and we collect nothing about you.
No data collection
Anyway jot has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. We do not see, receive, or store any information about you or what you write.
The app ships with an Apple Privacy Manifest declaring that it collects no data and performs no tracking.
Your notes and files
Your notes are saved as ordinary .txt files in a folder you choose on your Mac. They belong to you: you can read, move, back up, or delete them with any app, at any time, with or without Anyway jot.
If you choose a folder inside iCloud Drive, syncing those files across your devices is performed by macOS and Apple iCloud under Apple's terms and privacy policy. Anyway jot itself never uploads or transmits your notes.
No network, no third parties
Anyway jot works fully offline. It does not connect to any server operated by us or by anyone else, and your note contents are never sent over a network by the app.
We do not sell, rent, share, or disclose personal data — because we do not collect any.
The App Store and Apple
Anyway jot is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your download is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy, and we do not receive your name, Apple ID, or payment details.
Apple may provide us with aggregated, non-identifying statistics such as download or sales counts. If you opt in to share diagnostics with developers in your system settings, Apple may also share anonymized crash reports to help us fix bugs; these do not contain your notes.
Children's privacy
Anyway jot is a general-purpose productivity app and is not directed to children. Because the app collects no data, we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will revise the date below and publish the new version on this page. Where a change is significant, we will make it available before it takes effect.
